A must read! The symbolism in this book is so profound. It is also fast paced, beautifully written and heals your inner child. it made me cry, shattered me, pieced me back together and broke me again. I'm waiting for the next book!

Dieses Buch hat mich aus meinem Reading-Slump rausgeholt. Fairer Weise hat mich der Romantische Aspekt zwar abgeholt aber er war für mich nicht das Treibende der Geschichte. Was dieses Buch für mich so beeindruckend gemacht hat ist (wie auch bei den anderen Büchern von Rachel Gillig) das World Building, das Magie-System und die Art und Weise wie der Plot durchdacht wurde. Man hat beim Lesen die ganze Zeit schon dieses Bauchgefühl wo die Reise hingehen könnte und trotzdem wird man überrascht wie bzw was genau dann passiert und dieser Twist ist hervorragend ausgeführt. Rachel Gillig entwickelt sich für mich zu einer “Instant-Buy” Autorin

Ich habe dieses Buch geliebt! Kein typisches Romantasy-Buch, wie es aktuell "in" ist, aber vielleicht hat es mir deshalb auch so gut gefallen. Die Romanze ist einfach schön und entwickelt sich toll, ist nicht "in your face" und nimmt auch nicht Überhand wie in anderen Romantasyreihen. ... Und die Kirsche auf der Torte ist der Gargoyl. So ein toller Sidekick! <3

This was one of my most anticipated books ever. After reading One Dark Window by the author and not loving it as much as I’d hoped, I was honestly a little scared to start this one — especially because my expectations were so high. Unfortunately, my fears turned out to be true. The Knight and the Moth just didn’t work for me. I really had to push myself to finish it. I couldn’t form a connection with most of the characters (with the exception of Bartholomew ), and the plot simply failed to truly capture my interest. While the story does pick up toward the end and finishes with a strong cliffhanger, it wasn’t enough to make up for the slow and rather unengaging journey getting there. Sadly, this one was a disappointment for ME.

Hatte mir von dem Buch mehr erwartet - es war nicht schlecht aber bei der Hälfte ca. hat mich dann die Lust verlassen es zu lesen. Ich fand es langweilig und auch die Charaktere nicht ausgereift leider. Die Liebesgeschichte ist nicht wirklich nachvollziehbar, die FMC hat Fähigkeiten die nicht erklärt werden usw. da sind einige unausgereigte Ideen drinnen. Hab's zwar fertig gelesen, werde die Reihe aber nicht weiter verfolgen.
