Meine letzte Rezension Alchemised English Edition von SenLinYu

SenLinYu, the woman you are. This book sent shivers down my spine and left me staring at my wall for a few minutes, just processing what I just read. This is one of those books that altered my brain chemistry a little bit, and I don't think I'll ever properly recover. While certain scenes were hard to read, they just added to the extremely immersive reading experience. I cannot recommend this book enough if you enjoy a gothic, dark and eerie setting, with an emotionally wrecking romance apsect. Also, the fact that this was originally a Harry Potter fanfiction just makes it even better. -----------------------spoilers----------------------- Helena and Kaine deserved so much better. Get yourself a man like Kaine Ferron who would turn the world upside down for you. My heart breaks a little when I think about the fact that nobody will ever know the real happenings of the war and everything Helena did for the Eternal Flame. My girl gave herself up for so many people who didn't deserve it, I could cry. Anyways, really good book.

Hard Land

Ich habe dieses Buch gelesen als ich mich selbst etwas verloren gefühlt habe, und es hat mein Leben wirklich verändert. Um im Sommer nicht von zu Hause wegzumüssen, sucht sich der fünfzehnjährige Sam einen Sommerjob in dem Kino seiner Stadt. Es stellt sich schnell herraus, dass das die beste Entscheidung war die er hätte treffen können. Schnell wird er von einer Freundesgruppe aufgenommen und fühlt sich nicht mehr alleine mit seinen Ängsten und mit dem was mit seiner Mom passiert. Endlich kann er atmen und fühlt sich etwas leichter. Leider darf das nicht so bleiben, doch durch seine Freunde findet er Halt und auch langsam seinen Platz in der Welt. Ich liebe dieses Buch über alles und lese es mindestens einmal im Jahr. Die Songs die vorkommen sind auch Erste Klasse und für mich persönliche Mutmach-songs. Eine Sommergeschichte die man nicht so schnell vergisst!

Kingdom of Ash

Coming to the big crescendo of this story was really an emotional rollercoaster. I cannot even begin to describe all the emotions that went through me while reading this book. In general this series altered my brain chemistry in some way. There isn't a day where I do not think about these characters. I dragge the reading of this series over year because I just didn't want it to end. The world - the story - the characters - chefs kiss. I will never stop recommending this series. --------------spoiler--------------- Manon and the Thirteen are by far some of my favorite fictional characters of all time. I miss them every day.

Atmosphere

As a physics/astronomy nerd myself, this book healed a part deep inside of me. The ending had me sobbing and I am so looking forward to reading it again in summer! Set in the '80s, the star obsessed Joan Goodwin gets pulled from her job as a professor of physics and astronomy to become one of the first female astronauts. This opportunity is life changing for her in many aspects. Joan finds friends for life and also discovers a part of herself she didn't know existed... Love beyond limits, one of Tylor Jenkins Reid's best works!! I cannot recommend this book enough!!

Adressat unbekannt

Dieses Buch sollte jeder gelesen haben. Ein Briefaustausch zwischen zwei ehemaligen Freunden - einer ist Jude, einer ist Deutscher - welcher durch Hitlers Präsenz und den Geschehnissen in Deutschland sehr schnell umschwingt. In nur 60 Seiten wird so viel vermittelt, was einen wirklich sprachlos hinterlässt. Mit jedem Brief sieht man was die Indoktrination der Nazis angerichtet hat und auch mit den Menschen gemacht hat. Ein absolutes must-read.
