The fatal picture
I prefer reading English and American authors in their native language, as accurate as translations may be. The story of Dorian Gray and his picture is a masterpiece of late 19th century English literature and Wilde´s only novel. The decay of the main characters soul, his obsession with everlasting youth and beauty catches the reader from the first page to the inevitable, tragic end.
