Michaelides tells the story of Theo Faber, a forensic psychotherapist. And Alicia Berenson, who loved her husband deeply and seemed to have the perfect marriage until one day she shot him in the head five times. Six years have passed since then and she still hasn’t said a single word. The question remains why did she kill him and why won’t she talk about it? This question also raises interest in the psychotherapist. Will he finally get her to talk? This book was an absolute page turner for me. Alicias diary gives an interesting insight into her thoughts from the past. Which made me wonder even more why and even if she killed her husband. From Theos point of view the reader also gets to know his life outside of his job. That really adds to the story. I recommend this book if you’re looking for suspense and some unexpected turns. -
