Victorian Psycho. Film Tie-In

Forget about Patrick Bateman, here comes Ms. Notty! A psychopathic governess, who is hired to watch over the children of the Pounds' household, a rich and entitled family. Told from Ms. Nottys perspective, the reader is drawn into a tale of ever growing insanity and violence. Although Ms. Nottys behavior is definitely weird - let alone her thoughts - the conduct and world view of her employers is equally disturbing. Virginia Feito develops a kind of social reckoning of the victorian era, where class struggles and downright insane but accepted world views collide with an actually psychotic mind. The novel does not hold back on weird, disturbing and disgusting imagery, but is also surprisingly hilarious. Historic Horror has probably never been as dark and funny.

What if your Governess were actually crazy? Victorian Psycho holds nothing back, featuring gory scenes that made my stomach lurch, my eyes water and my brain go „EWW. What happens next?!“ This book is brimming with deviousness, gore, and blood!

If you’re looking for a gory, unhinged and incredibly graphic historical horror, this is the book for you! The exceptionally well-done dark humor had me giggling at the most disturbing scenes, as Winifred descended deeper and deeper into madness. The ending? Completely deranged. Loved it.
