Meine letzte Rezension There Is No Antimemetics Division von Qntm
I was staring into (ideatic) space for a bit after finishing this, trying to process what I’d just read - it genuinely felt like part of my brain had been rewired. Each chapter introduces a new antimeme and/or follows the division’s chief as she figures out (and then almost immediately forgets) that something… bad is going on. Actually, has been going on for decades. 3 1/2 stars because I felt that some scenes in the last quarter of the book lacked the kind of fast-paced tension building that made this sci-fi novel otherwise absolutely fascinating!

    Blood Over Bright Haven

    I loved this book not only because of its unique magic system, the perfectly imperfect characters and GREAT ending, but also because I felt a kind of cathartic satisfaction about the, uh… let’s say retributive justice. Highly recommended, especially if you have series fatigue!

    Eat the Ones You Love

    A strange and creepy story about everyday-retail-life, combined with botanical horror and themes of unhealthy obsession, that left me both unsettled and entertained! Easily one of my favourite reads of 2025.

    Ninth House

    I don’t even know where to begin; there are just so many good things to be said about “Ninth House”: the amount of research that must have gone into it, the uncomfortably realistic characters and the gritty atmosphere… I loved it! What I do know is that I recommend going into it with as little information as possible - you’ll feel just as in over your head as Alex ;) I’m in the middle of rereading the series in anticipation of the release of “Dead Beat”, and it is an absolute delight, even the second time around.

    Long Live Evil

    Rae slips into the role of a cunning villainess inside her favorite fantasy book and as it turns out, she fits the role of the scheming antagonist quite well! Unfortunately, she must experience firsthand that characters seem a lot more real when they are actively trying to kill you, and that a storyline does not take well to being manipulated… Although fast paced, the book had amazing world building, characters with surprising depth and a story full of twists and turns that had me gripping the pages. Also, I loved loved LOVED the modern humor Rae brought with her into the medieval fantasy setting ~
