Meine letzte Rezension Long Live Evil von Sarah Rees Brennan
Rae slips into the role of a cunning villainess inside her favorite fantasy book and as it turns out, she fits the role of the scheming antagonist quite well! Unfortunately, she must experience firsthand that characters seem a lot more human when they are actively trying to kill you, and that a storyline does not take well to being manipulated… Although fast paced, the book had amazing world building, characters with surprising depth and a story full of twists and turns that had me gripping the pages. Also, I loved loved LOVED the modern humor Rae brought with her into the medieval fantasy setting ~

    A strange and creepy story of everyday-retail-life, combined with botanical horror and unhealthy obsession, that left me both unsettled and entertained! Easily one of my favourite reads of 2025.

    “Snake-Eater” follows the classic Kingfisher trope of a woman and her dog in a creepy house full of family secrets. The story is set in a beautiful desert town with lots of saguaros, loveable characters and an evil roadrunner - and no, not at all like the cartoon… Unique, funny and bone-chilling all at once!

    Victorian Psycho

    If you’re looking for a gory, unhinged and incredibly graphic historical horror, this is the book for you! The exceptionally well-done dark humor had me giggling at the most disturbing scenes, as Winifred descended deeper and deeper into madness. The ending? Completely deranged. Loved it.
