ABSOLUT EMPFEHLENSWERT!!! Ich liebe sie einfach..

If there is one book that defines dark romance this decade, it has to be "God of Fury". Calling it "good" would be an understatement, This book is obsessive, addictive and completely unforgettable. Rina KEnt manages to deliever a story that isn't afraid to cross lines. The tension is razor-sharp from the very start, pulling you into a world where love is messy, dangerous and consuming. The chemistry between the characters isn't just strong, it's explosive especially between Nikolai und Brandon. It's the kind of chemistry that keeps you up way too late no matter if you have work in the morning. What makes this book a true highlight of the decade is how intense everything feels like the emotions, the stakes, the connection. This story isn't just a roance - it's possession, vulnerability, power and chaos all tangeled together. The characters are deeply flawed and sometimes frustrating but that's exactly what makes them feel real. In my honest opinion if I could give this book more stars I would and sadly words aren't able to describe my love for this story and these characters.

“I missed him. I missed him to the point of insanity. I missed him until I couldn’t breathe.”
Ms. Kent, you absolutely had no rights to break my heart like that. Please do it again. As a Heathens Girl, this book means the world to me. I (and I’m pretty sure there are many other readers who can agree) fell in love with Nikolai & Bran waaaay before God of Fury because their attraction was ALWAYS there. They had even more attraction in the other Legacy of Gods books than some of the ACTUAL couples, even when they were mentioned in only a few sentences. And to get crumbs for 4 books and to finally read their story was so special. I wouldn’t say it’s THE best Legacy of Gods book (Jeremy “Russian Roulette” Volkov is my number 1- my never ending love for him may influence my decisions), but it's undeniably one of her best (I also have a soft spot for God of Malice). I wouldn’t call God of Fury a dark romance, to be honest. I think it’s a very (VEEEERY) smutty romance with heavy mental health topics, but smut (and heavy mental health topics) ≠ dark romance. There wasn’t anything dark about their romance, their behavior towards each other or whatsoever. Even the stalking trope wasn’t dark like it is in dark romance- it was rather clingy and goofy and well… cute. The only darkness was them fighting their own demons and mental health issues, which again had a big impact on their relationship. It is a very trope-heavy book with very popular tropes like grumpy x sunshine which in my opinion was overdone and overshadows and simplifies both of them, their love for each other and their characters and what they’re going through- each as an individual person and together. As for Brandon, I was so excited to finally read his story and POV. I loved him so, so much in the other books and my love for him only deepened with God of Fury. I already knew that he is the grumpy character (social media victim here), so that wasn’t a big surprise for me but I honestly didn’t expect that he struggled so much. His pain and suffering were phenomenally well written and I say that as a pitch black girly who most of the time reads books with very heavy topics and tropes and REALLY dark emotional books. I felt it to my core and just wanted to take him out of the nightmare that was his reality, in which he mastered living in so perfectly without a single soul noticing him (MY POOR BABY). And by all means, the grumpy label on his character is a shame. And that is exactly what I meant by saying that overdone or misused tropes overshadow the depth and authenticity of characters or the story. Like, he wasn’t grumpy; he was literally dying inside. He was slowly drowning and Nikolai became his lifeline. And speaking of Nikolai, he is the main reason why this was one of my most anticipated books of 2025. He is Jeremy's best friend and brother and I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. He was always portrayed as a dark and unhinged character, but unfortunately God of Fury ruined that for me. I can’t see him as a dark character ever again. Not after the whole “Kolya at age 5 situation” ("Kolya Jr. has been an adventurous whore since he got his first boner at the fresh age of five. It was such a marvelous discovery"). Yeah. No. Thank you, Miss Kent, but I don’t think that we need to know that much about a character (and their privat parts) AT THE AGE OF FIVE. WHAT THE HELL... (I really need my short-term memory to work overtime right now; I need Kolya Jr. wiped out of my mind FOREVER). That was weird as hell and totally unnecessary and didn’t do his character any favor. It was too much comedy and too much “clingy-sunshine-puppy” energy for my taste and overshadowed the DARK elements of his character, which was always THE representation of him. As I said, totally overdone. But to be fair- I think RK did that to balance out Bran’s dark story and energy and that makes total sense. It makes sense, but still- a little goes a long way sometimes. BUUUUT. Let’s get to the fun part. THE TENSION BETWEEN THEM. Holy mother. The spice and THE SMUT. You gotta be fcking kidding me. This was the nastiest smut I’ve ever read. This was the first book that made me LITERALLY BLUSH and stare at the wall with my mouth open. They were totally out of control and completely fell for each other with everything they had and I’m asolutely convinced that no power in the Rinaverse could've kept them apart or could come between them. Anyways. I’ll stop here because I have no self control and too much to say (this review is long enough already). Have a good one. See you next time. HEATHENS FOREVER.
