The Wedding People 'An excellent gift for almost anyone' Guardian

The starting point is very heavy and sad and maybe you should look up TW if needed, but the voice of the MC is so light, fun and even lighthearted at times and I really enjoyed the difference and shift in tone from beginning to the end. We are in her head the whole time and follow along as she finds herself again, her way back to life and to what she really wants out of it! It's a story about empowerment as well as grief and loss and so much more. I really loved the characters and how different and distinct everyone was, which added really nice dynamics. The story was multifaceted and entertaining and even though it starts at a very dark place it has a hopeful tone and became fun and entertaining, while maintaining the serious topics and conversations about heavy topics and social commentary. I really, really liked this book!
