It was hilarious and so heartfelt!

I loved this book. It took a while to get used to the style it is written in (footnotes and all) - but once used to it - it was an even more charming and refreshing story to read. The heroine in our story (or more the Dark-Lord-In-Waiting) has lived a couple hundred lives and is just done, because nothing seems to work out. And there is no end in sight. I giggled, I laughed and I read through the night. Davi - to put it plainly - does not give a single f. And I love it. And maybe so will you.

Das Buch klang von der Beschreibung her toll. Leider habe ich es nicht über die ersten paar Kapitel hinaus geschafft. Wirklich ein furchtbares (&) sexistisches Buch. Andere haben daran vielleicht Spaß, für mich war es definitiv nichts.

All Hail Dark Lord Davi

This was definitely one of my favourite fantasy books of the last years. It was something entirely different, and I really enjoyed the story. Becoming the dark lord by being nice to your minions and thus growing your support enough to take over? Now that is a fun approach. The writing style was slightly unusual and there could be an argument made for the humour being at times a little too dark or offensive, so if you are a little more sensitive this might not be for you, but I had a lot of fun reading it, and I couldn't wait for the second part to be published.
