How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying

This was definitely one of my favourite fantasy books of the last years. It was something entirely different, and I really enjoyed the story. Becoming the dark lord by being nice to your minions and thus growing your support enough to take over? Now that is a fun approach. The writing style was slightly unusual and there could be an argument made for the humour being at times a little too dark or offensive, so if you are a little more sensitive this might not be for you, but I had a lot of fun reading it, and I couldn't wait for the second part to be published.
