It’s about discovering what love truly is and what happens when, out of nowhere, you are forced to confront loss. A true masterpiece and definitely one of my all time favorite books. The almost poetic writing style and the unique formatting give this book a special depth, making it something truly extraordinary.

This novel made my heart ache, it broke me and made me whole again. This was such an impressive book, a great story full of characters you really feel for. The author uses the magical realism brilliantly - the husband got a devistating diagnosis: he is slowly but surely turning into a shark. What should the couple do now? We as the reader become part of their story and their family. This book was beautiful and strong and magical and I loved every single second of it. I highly recommend!
