Brom

Brom, Jahrgang 1965, wurde in Albany im amerikanischen Bundesstaat Georgia geboren. Da sein Vater Pilot bei der U.S. Army war, verbrachte Brom einen Teil seiner Jugend im Ausland, unter anderem in Japan und Deutschland, wo er zur Schule ging; aus dieser Zeit rührt auch seine Angewohnheit her, seinen Vornamen nicht zu benutzen. Bereits mit 21 arbeitete Brom als Illustrator für Firmen wie Coca-Cola und IBM. Später begann er, sich auf die visuelle Umsetzung von Rollenspielen wie „Dungeons & Dragons“ und anderer Fantasywelten zu konzentrieren; er schuf außerdem Sammelkarten für Spielsysteme wie „Magic: The Gathering“ und arbeitet für zahlreiche Verlage und Computerspielhersteller. Brom hat bereits mehrere Bücher veröffentlicht und lebt heute mit seiner Familie in Seattle.
