A thought-provoking and heartwarming read!
This is a non-fiction that was heartwarming and at the same time eye-opening. Told in essays by both authors it reveals how deep-seated traditonal family structures actually are (especially in South Korea). Both women describe their daily life together, their differences and how they decided to buy a house togehter as friends and go against conservative views of life aka marriage and children. This novel shows how any time of relationship is equally as valuable as romantic partnerships - be it friends, family or the relationship to pets. A family can come in many shapes, the important thing is the love, respect and support you give each other. I deducted one star as not every essay grabbed my attention as the last, but overall it was such a heartwarming and one-of-a-kind read. Hightly recommend this book to anyone!
