A Prince Among Pirates

A fun adventure on the high seas, perfect for fans of "Our Flag Means Death". This novel was a nice blend of humour, adventure and a dash of queer romance. I loved the "found family" trope and the way it was executed here, but what also pleasantly surprised me was the strong character development of our main character Kit. While he started out as a slightly unlikeable and snobbish highborn, he gradually developed into a more sensible and understanding person, that wanted to work on his flaws and be better for those around him. Some moments were quite amusing, while others managed to be genuinely honest and heartfelt, which, mixed with the occasional battle, made for a nicely balanced reading experience that I very much enjoyed. So if you are looking for a "gentleman pirate" and a crew that will slowly work their way into your heart, this novel is absolutely perfect for you!
