But instead of fancy drinks at the beach he is drawn into a murder investigation, has to prove he is not a bloodlusting vampire and on top of it all, has to fend off the arrival of the vampire council, which will not only end his undead existence, but probably also the town itself. Thankfully he has his trusted black cat familiar Whitby with him and is under observation by the stern, stoic and very sexy police officer De Luca. Together they must solve the mystery, or it might be a desaster for everyone. The game is on, the sun as relentless as the prejudice and the stakes are high - and sharp.
