After learning that her boyfriend is cheating on her, Blake Logan breaks up and flees to the family's summer house. But Wyatt Graham is already there, who wants to counteract his writer's block. Only Wyatt has been her crush since she was 16 years old and although he behaves impossible, there is this attraction. Wyatt tries everything to resist Blake, but when that doesn't work out, he tells her that he only wants the physical. But is that the truth? We follow both. Blake is a bit lost, not only because of the separation, she also doesn't know what she wants to do one day and compares herself to her high-flyer friends from the Briar clique, which makes her a bit insecure. Wyatt doesn't think he's a good person, because he's restless, afraid of real closeness and he doesn't want to hurt Blake in particular. The approach is subject to the trope forced proximity with slight enemy vibes at the beginning. And then it gets very spicy... The story takes a turn when the rest of the families arrive and from then on the book has lost me a bit, because the character development stops completely and it becomes super chaotic and so inappropriate. And there is another twist that I didn't see coming. But in which both disappoint me and finally the old Graham comes out again. What I think is good is that Blake obviously has no talent and her problems with it and how Wyatt has a real talent and still has difficulties. But then it is taken a little too much to the extreme. I know people are hungry for the stories, but maybe it's time to leave the Briar clique...

Endlich wieder ein Buch von Elle Kennedy und dann auch noch von Wyatt & Blair Ich habe mich so sehr auf dieses Buch gefreut, dass ich natürlich nicht abwarten konnte, bis es auf Deutsch erscheint. Also habe ich mir das Buch auf Englisch reingezogen. Wortwörtlich reingezogen. Ich habs geliebt und war vollkommen in der Story ab Seite 1. Abe worum geht es eigentlich? Es geht um Blair die nach einer schlimmen Trennung nach Lake Tahoe flüchtet, wo ihre Eltern mit den Grahams zusammen ein Haus gekauft haben. Womit sie nicht gerechnet hat, ist das ausgerechnet Wyatt auch dort ist und den Sommer dort verbringen wird. Die beiden werden also den gesamten Sommer zusammen hocken müssen. Blair gefällt das gar nicht denn vor ein paar Jahren hat Wyatt sie abblitzen lassen. Enemies to Lovers vom feinsten sag ich euch. Blair ist so schlagfertig gewesen das ich es regelrecht gefeiert habe, wie sie Wyatt die Stirn geboten hat. Fehlen dürfen natürlich nicht die Eltern die wir bereits aus der Off-Campus & Briar U Reihe kennen Der Schreibstil von Elle ist wie immer unschlagbar und humorvoll. Habe alles an diesem Buch geliebt, vorallem wie Blair & Wyatt nicht nur zu sich selbst sondern auch zu einander gefunden haben. Junge Junge die Tension war ja unglaublich. Ich kann dieses Buch wirklich nur Empfehlen und bin super gespannt wer wohl als nächstes aus dem Universum ein Buch bekommen wird. Ich hab da ja schon so eine Vermutung.
