    Buch (Taschenbuch)

“You need a villain. I fear being the hero.”

The way this book had me in a chokehold from begging to end! I have only read a few MM Romances, and this is the most depraved one I have read. This was also my first read where each author focused on a character, which made it unique to me; Their writing balanced each other perfectly Cole and Blaise were toxic for each other but in a green flag way, since their first encounter Cole had nothing but hatred in his heart for his new stepbrother until the night of the chase. Once the secrets started to come out, I was on the edge of my seat, everything was playing out in my head like a movie. I loved how the characters developed as the story continued, they both connected on an emotional level neither one of them knew they could ever possess. There were so many jaw dropping moments but by far the craziest ones were the pool and shower scene; I felt the urge to bathe myself in holy water because why was it so hot hahaha! I screamed, laughed, cried and absolutely fell in love with Cole and Blaise. They’re both insane but have such a deep love for each other, no one else could ever compare.

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

To all the readers who dream of being chased through the woods and face-fucked by their masked stepbrother.

What. The. Hell. Did I just read??? This book is darker than dark. I read the first chapter with my mouth hanging open. I was shocked, but also curious. Two psychopaths who couldn’t be any worse meet. And the best part—or rather, the worst part: they’re stepbrothers. Cole and Blaise can’t stand each other to the point of bloodshed, and they’d love nothing more than to slit each other’s throats. (No joke—you read that on the very first page.) In this book, I really felt the hatred between the two of them. Books are often marketed as “Enemies to Lovers,” but they’re not—but with these two… holy shit. At first, you immediately think that one of them is an ABSOLUTE psychopath. But the more you read, the clearer it becomes that neither of them is quite right in the head. I’ll be honest with you: I couldn’t put this book down. With every page, it got better—and darker. We’re not talking about dark romance here, but pitch-black romance. And that’s even darker and more psychopathic. I don’t want to give too much away because I feel like I’d be spoiling it otherwise. But you HAVE to read it if you want to go beyond dark romance and dive even deeper. The “menu” is long and offers the full package. Aside from Cole and Blaise, the story itself is also well thought out. I suffered and empathized along with them. Often I even wished bad things on certain characters (but never Cole and Blaise). Over time, it becomes clear that one of them is much more psychopathic than the other—but I definitely won’t reveal who. What I haven’t mentioned yet: Both of them also have a girlfriend, and that makes the whole thing even more complicated and exciting. Or rather, what’s complicated? Nothing at all for the two of them, because they just take what they want. An absolute must-read—but definitely not for everyone.
