Das Buch hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Das Englisch ist gut zu verstehen und ich war innerhalb weniger Tage mit dem Buch durch. Auf den ersten 100 Seiten passiert leider so gut wie nichts und ich konnte die Liebe zwischen den beiden nicht wirklich fühlen, aber die Auflösung hat mir sehr gut gefallen und ich würde das Buch auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Das Englische,pinke Cover ist unglaublich schön.

I've come across several reviews that criticize the repetitive nature of Evelyn and Arden's past lives, and while I can see where they're coming from, I really can't relate. I thoroughly enjoyed the flashbacks, and I couldn't get enough of them and their doomed soulmate connection!! Oh god, it’s soo poetic and heart-wrenching at the same time. (And even if nobody asked, my knockout argument for reading it was that someone on TikTok said the story was inspired by Taylor Swift's "exile” - yes, that speaks for itself.)

Arden and Evelyn are two soulmates, suffering under an ancient "curse" and destined to kill each other in every life. Although Evelyn does not remember the origin of their predicament, Arden remembers everything, but refuses to tell her. After everything they have done to each other, they can't help falling in love again and again, despite the gruesome outcome. I was truly hooked from the first page and couldn't help rooting for these two incredibly well written characters. This tragic love story, that defies both time and fate will stay with you long after it's been finished.

This is definitely not an ordinary love story, rather it is a chase through time and space with both touching and raw moments. Unique, peculiar and highly fascinating! A great story full of mystery and a lot of love, not only in the romantic sense, but also for family and friends and life in general. If you don't mind the supernatural and sometimes abstruse aspect of the story, you can expect a touching parable about love that transcends all times, borders and identities.
