Discover Kelly Bishop's captivating story of six decades in show business: a must-have for fans of Gilmore Girls in search of a journey beyond Stars Hollow.
Kelly Bishop's storied career has been defined by landmark achievements, from winning a Tony Award for her turn in the original Broadway cast of A Chorus Line to her memorable performance as Jennifer Grey's mother in Dirty Dancing. It is probably her role as matriarch Emily in the modern classic Gilmore Girls that cemented her legacy.
Now, Bishop reflects on her remarkable life and looks towards the future, sharing some of her greatest stories and the life lessons she's learned. From her early transition from dance to drama, to marrying young to a compulsive gambler, to the losses and achievements she experienced - among them marching for women's rights and losing her second husband to cancer - Bishop offers a rich, genuine celebration of her life.
Full of witty insights and featuring a special collection of personal and professional photographs, The Third Gilmore Girl is a warm, unapologetic, and powerful memoir from a woman who has left indelible impressions on her audiences for decades.

Such a lovely book
"The Third Gilmore Girl" is such a wonderful autobiography. One of the best I've read so far. Kelly Bishop tells her story so charming and with so much passion, without beeing boring at all. Her book is funny, exciting, sad,... I had all kinds of emotions while reading and I loved every page of it. Enjoy this beautiful easy read with a wonderful message from Kelly Bishop. -

Buch (Taschenbuch)
the picture of a hard-working woman
This book is a life lesson in „work hard and know what you want, but also know when to make a detour“. It‘s clear that Bishop loves her work and doesn‘t do it for fame or money. I truly enjoyed her positive views, even if things got turbulent. She’s blunt and honest (with and about herself).
