If I had only read this title, I would never have read another book of the Bruno series. The plot could have been interesting if Martin Walker had restricted himself to the flooding of Saint-Denis and the surrounding landscape. Instead, he used large parts of the book to make military-historical statements about WW2, which would have been absolutely uninteresting for the majority of readers. The end of the story was very abrupt. There was no connecting element to the rest of the story. my impression was that Martin Walker had lost the interest in finishing this book. In summary: very disappointing. No recommendation.
