Gwen and Art Are Not in Love Winner of the YA Book Prize and Books Are My Bag Readers' Award for YA

I always wanted to read a queer retelling of the arthurian legend! So I was really excited when I discovered this book! Although, my expectations were startled when I started reading and saw that the writing style was more modern than anticipated, I was quikly overtaken by the story. It is a funny and easygoing reading experience. What i enjoyed the most, was Gwen and Art's relationship. They start from deeply antagonising each other, to realising that they have a common goal to becoming friends. The love storys were also cute but could have been also more in fokus. I loved all the charakters, they are chaotic and layered. It was really great to read this book with a slight conection to the legend, and the setting of Camelot, but mainly being a wholesome novel.

"Gwen and Art are not in love" is a compelling and andventurous read that has the readers swept into the whimsical world of medieval England, where Gwen and Art's relationship is put to the test as they pretend to fall for one another only to discover that their feelings for each other - and others - are far mor complicated. With a dark twist at the end, this story was truly enthralling.
