This book really embodies „dark academia“ with its morally grey characters & privileged students. The characters felt real and faulty, harbouring secret desires, and fears.. I liked the way some of their feelings were put into words in such a unique way & the storyline was gripping until the very end. (Which left me staring at the wall) after all, not every secret is meant to be exposed…

Dark Academia at its best!

Just finished 'In My Dreams I Hold a Knife' and wow, what a ride! This book totally sucked me into its dark academia vibe, which I absolutely love. The characters are so well-written - I found myself hating and loving them at the same time, especially Coop. He's just so... something else. This book is easily the best thing I've read in this genre since 'If We Were Villains.' A solid 5 stars from me! You think you got it figured out and then baaam - another twisted secret!
