Iron Flame

Fourth Wing was already a fantastic start to this series and Iron Flame was just as good. They are the two books that got me reading regularly again. Turns out I did not know that my life was missing something until I met Violet, Xaden, Tairn, Sgaeyl and Andarna. That series God Tier to me now. After book two I can honestly say that nothing I can write here will do it justice. Read it and embark on the journey of an unusual young women at a war college and the challenges and trials she must face and endure. Once I started reading Iron Flame, I could not put it back down. The story was captivating and fast-paced. There was never “a right time” to put down the book for a break. The tension was great and often palpable. I did not know what a ʺbook hangoverʺ was until I finished this romantasy. I was unable to pick up anything else for three days (Onyx Storm had not been released at the time). I had to do some serious thinking about everything that happened and about the things that did not happen. I had so many questions and the wildest theories because this part of the story ends with a massive cliffhanger. I kept turning the last page over and over thinking – That cannot be it! You cannot let the book end like this! It was truly aggravating. There is so much potential for various story arcs, and I am in for it all the way. I fell in love even more with the main characters (even though Violet was a little annoying at times) and there are great dynamics between all of them and their dragons. Tairn is a fabulous creation. I found myself smiling and smirking while reading his parts. Tairn and Andarna’s feisty exchanges were hugely enjoyable.

Das Buch ist wie sein erstes Buch wunderbar. Eine tolle Geschichte, Spannung, voller Leben. Ich kann es sehr empfehlen. Ich möchte nicht spoilern, deswegen einfach nur: Kaufempfehlung.

Ehrlich gesagt habe ich mich lange geweigert Fourth Wing zu lesen, weil ich mir sicher war, dass es dem Hype einfach nicht gerecht werden kann. Allerdings muss ich zugeben, dass ich mich geirrt habe. Nachdem ich den ersten Teil quasi in einem Rutsch durchgelesen habe, ging es mir mit Iron Flame nicht viel anders. Es gibt bereits so viele Rezension über dieses Buch, dass ich eigentlich nicht viel neues beitragen kann und deswegen meine Rezension eher knapp halte. Mit Xaden und Violet sind der Autorin zwei fantastische Protagonisten gelungen, die sich im Verlauf der Geschichte immer weiter entwickeln und die man auch immer besser kennenlernt. Gerade weil die beiden so unterschiedlich sind, ergänzen sie sich einfach perfekt. Außerdem gibt es natürlich noch eine spannende Handlung und jede Menge Drachen. Pünktlich zum Release von Onyx Storm kann ich gar nicht abwarten zu erfahren wie es weitergehen wird. Bisher habe ich die Reihe auf jeden Fall geliebt und würde sie jedem Fan einer guten Romantasy auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Wow! Oft nenn ich es, dass man beim 2. Teil einer Reihe enttäuscht ist oder sich was anderes erhofft hatte aber hier nicht. Von der ersten bis zur letzen Seite war es unglaublich. Die Entwicklung der Charaktere und die Storyline waren einfach toll. Ich freu mich schon so auf den 3. Teil und kann diese Reihe wirklich jedem empfehlen, der Hype hat es definitiv verdient.

Eine super tolle Gechichte mit tollen Charakteren. Sowohl neu als auch wiederkehrende. Das Ende tut mir im Herzen weh und ich kann kaum das neue Buch abwarten! Die Drachen sind nach wie vor cool.
