    Bitte lesen Sie es

    Obwohl dieses Buch verstörend und manchmal regelrecht ekelhaft ist, ist es trozdem eines der Besten die ich jemals gelesen habe. Die Geschichte von Marek und den anderen Charakteren ist eine wie keine andere. Ich liebe dieses Buch und kann mich nach knapp 2 Jahren nich immer an alles erinnern. Bitte lesen Sie es einfach und überlegen Sie nicht zu lange bevor sie es kaufen. Es zahlt sich aus.

    Welcome to Lapvona! A small medieval village troubled by hunger, religious obsession and bandits. Marek, a thriteen year old deformed bastard, believes in god and wants to fullfill his duty. Ignored by the villagers, beaten by his father and dismissed by the world, Marek tries to find his way to be a good child of god. Ottessa Moshfegh definitely knows how to write her characters, in the most haunting aspect. A lot of times, I felt sick and confused but it was still so captivating. A weird and bothersome story, full of dark thoughts and perturbing events. I really liked the book and it will stick with me for a long time now.

    Lapvona is a morbid look into the abyss of the human heart. The medival setting mixed with the horror elements and the witchy feel this story emits, makes for a real captivating novel. Lapvona is a fictional eastern european village, that's riddled with corruption and religious fanaticism. The location is really off putting and fits the feel of the story perfectly. It's one of the best horror books I've read this year and I really recommend this title if you like dark fairytales and confusing horror.

    Ein sehr fesselndes und einzigartiges Buch. Der Erzähler nimmt den Leser mit in das kleine Dorf Lapvona, wo ihn eine Hungersnot, religiösem Wahn und moralische Abgründe der Menschheit erwarten. Das Buch ist zugleich schockierend und regt zum Nachdenken an. Ein absolut empfehlenswertes Buch.
