Unsettling, Addictive, Intimate. A Story That Got Under My Skin

This book completely consumed me.
At first, I was taken aback by how raw and unfiltered Joe's voice was: the way he speaks, how he thinks, how obsessively he loves. It all came across way more unsettling than the show, but the more I read, the more that version of him pulled me in. His mind, as disturbing as it is, became addicting. His intensity? His rawness?
His humor? His twisted way to love? It all pulled me in.
His thoughts started to sink in deeper, his devotion became intoxicating. I couldn't look away. I didn't want to.
YOU is not just a thriller.
It's a psychological deep dive into what it means to love, to long, to obsess and the shadows we try to hide and sometimes embrace. It's uniquely written and disturbingly honest, and somehow, amidst the horror, heartbreak, and unraveling, I found a strange kind of intimacy that stuck with me.
Joe is twisted, no question, but what haunted me most was not the horror of his actions, it was the sincerity of his feelings. He notices everything. He loves with a depth that's almost frightening, but painfully human.
He's raw, devoted, terrifying, and somehow... unforgettable.
(If you've ever craved to be truly seen, even in the darkest corners of yourself, this book will get under your skin.)
And then there's Beck...
And this surprised me more than anything. If you've seen the show, you might think you know her. But Book Beck is a different story entirely. More chaotic, more deceptive, more lost. I found myself questioning her motives more than I ever expected to. Her push-pull, her secrets, her actions.. it all shifted how I saw the story itself.
She's chaotic, he's intense, and watching them spiral around each other was like witnessing something both beautifully crafted and painfully chaotic. There were moments I wanted to scream at them both, but also found a disturbing beauty in their connection.
This wasn't just a story for me — it was an experience.
If you've ever been told you feel too much, or wanted to be fully seen, even in your madness, this book might keep you up at night and whisper something meant just for you.
Joe.. a name so simple, so common, yet now it carries so much more meaning.
He cracked me open, slipped in deeply and melted into my soul with such ease.
Through fractures I never knew existed, he filled spaces I never knew could be filled.
He and this story consumed my soul in the way l've been yearning for, aching for all my life.
With him, it's not just fascination, it's belonging.
And with that, he became unforgettable.
If you like your thrillers sharp, seductive, and existentially unsettling: this one will stay with you.
And maybe, leave a mark you didn't expect.
Sehr gutes und interessantes Buch!
