Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Illustrated Edition

Als Harry Potter Fan eine schöne Ergänzung zur Erstauflage. Außerdem ist es eine günstige Alternative zu den gebundenen Ausgaben. Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf Band 4

In his third year at Hogwarts Harry Potter is once again confronted with the fast-growing power of the one who should not be named. Already struggling with daily life at the school for witchcraft and wizardry, the announcement of the prisoner who escaped Azkaban puts additional weight on everyone. According to the news, the escapee Sirius Black is very dangerous, no one knows where he is nor what he wants. As it is revealed why he escaped, Harry and his friends find it even more crucial to remain in the safest place, which is Hogwarts. With security measures in place, the students try to follow their rather tricky timetables with all the mysterious things happening around them. Some might be reluctant to read another volume of this extraordinary series, with a young wizard at the same school who is again fighting against Voldemort. But the author manages to implement new elements into the main plot, which transforms the story into an enjoyable read. Who wouldn’t want to spend a day in Hogsmead or Diagon Alley, lingering around in the different shops and buying something magical? This one is in my opinion especially gripping, and mysterious right from the beginning to the final page. Besides while reading you learn more about the different characters, and I grew rather fond of them. I liked to see how these young students developed so far, how they grew together into a capable team although they come from different backgrounds. Also to mention is the interesting plot which goes deeper with every new volume. More adventures are yet to come for the three friends, let’s hop on the Hogwarts Express and join them on the magical journey.

Die Illustrationen von Jim Kay werden mit jeder Ausgabe atemberaubender und wirken geradzu lebendig. Zum selbst lesen, wiederholtem Lesen, oder zum Vorlesen (!) eine ideale Ausgabe, die zum Eintauchen einlädt!

The 3rd book is as great as the first and second one. I love the original british version more than the "green" american version. Must have for all the Harry Potter nerds!

Mit dem dritten Band von J. K. Rowlings Harry Potter Reihe habe ich eine ganz besondere Verbindung, denn "Harry Potter und der Gefangene von Askaban" war das erste Buch, das ich selbst gelesen habe und ist immer noch mein absolutes Lieblingsbuch! Die von Jim Kay illustrierten Schmuckausgaben gefallen mir bisher richtig gut, da habe ich mich natürlich sehr auf "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" gefreut und das Buch von der ersten bis zu letzten Seite einfach nur genossen! Ich liebe die Geschichte und die Zeichnungen von Jim Kay und so war das Lesen wieder ein tolles Ereignis! Ich freue mich auf jede Schmuckausgabe! Die Geschichte habe ich schon so oft gelesen, aber durch die wunderschönen Illustrationen ist es doch wieder etwas anderes, denn diese begleiten die Geschichte perfekt und man kann noch viel Neues entdecken! Fazit: Ich bin begeistert von Jim Kays Arbeit und auch das Lesen von "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" war wieder ein besonderes Erlebnis! Ich liebe die Geschichte des dritten Bandes so sehr und Jim Kay ist es gelungen, diese mit seinen Illustrationen perfekt zu begleiten! Verdiente fünf Kleeblätter!
