Children of Time Winner of the 2016 Arthur C. Clarke Award

Children of Time starts out strong with new ideas accompanied by the excitement where the story will lead the reader. Out of the two storylines only one managed to keep me excited for the next chapter and I am sorry to say that it wasn't the one I had the higher hopes for. The story line that builds heavily on evolution as a main theme seemed extremely random and everything felt hand-picked for the purpose of how the author wanted the stroy to turn out without any reason for it. For me the results was mostly rolling my eyes and in the end a certain desire to finally "get it over with".

This book gripped me from Start on. I love Tchaikovsky's style, it's somewhat focussed and you feel the influence of his zoology studys. Sadly, not all of his novels are available in Switzerland. It's a really cool Story which surprised me several times. Beautiful designed Science Fiction. Highly recommend.
