While each book can be read seperately I´d definitely recommend starting with part one so you´ll get to experience the amazing development these characters go through. Did you ever wonder where missing children go? They find doors, wells and cracks and get transported into magical worlds. Once they eventually get returned to their original world they tend to end up at Eleanor West´s Home for Wayward Children so they can readjust to a boring, unforgiving non-magical world. This is a book series full of identity, belonging and found family that made me fall in love with fantasy as a whole.

I LOVE this world that Seanan McGuire created! This Novella was unbelievably good! Just the idea alone, that children who visited other worlds and went back and got hit by reality too hard, are coming together in a school, where they live until they find their doors again or learn how to deal with their own world again. That all the worlds are real! I love that! And this was written like a creepy fairytale, the plot was great, the characters were super interesting! I am looking forward to continuing with the series, because in each book we learn something about a different world, a different character! I am so intrigued!!! Definetely 5 out of 5 stars!!! Can't wait to read the next one
