Solid YA dystopian fantasy
It's a world that discriminates and divides based on the colour of the blood that flows through your veins - the Silvers have all the powers and the Reds have to serve them. Mare is an exception: She has powers, but her blood is red. After being forced to live in the palace as future wife and princess of the second son she now has to survive a dangerous game of lies and betrayal. The world seemed a little underdeveloped (maybe the author's telling the reader more about it in the second book) and the story covered a lot of familiar tropes. Regardless of these criticisms I enjoyed reading it and will give the next volume a chance as I'm curious to see how the story unfolds.
