Harry Potter 3 and the Prisoner of Azkaban Winner of the Whitbread Children's Book Award 1999

Ich habe in einem Forum diese Ausgabe des Buches entdeckt. Ich besitze zwar schon (bis auf eines) die amerikanisch-englische Fassung als Taschenbuch und alle Bücher in Deutsch, aber da das dritte mein Lieblingsbuch ist, wollte ich diese Ausgabe wegen dem schönen Cover doch noch dazu kaufen und ich bin wirklich zufrieden! Der abgebildete Einband ist wirklich sehr schön gestaltet und auch das eigentliche Cover ist sehr schön (dunkel mit Sternen). Allein die erste Seite des Buches versetzt einen wieder direkt in die Zauberwelt. Ein Must- Have für alle, die das Buch auf Englisch lesen wollen und Hardcovers lieben!

J.K Rowling ist en wahrhaftes Genie im Schreiben! Und so ist auch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire mit Abstand das beste Buch aus der Buchreihe von Harry Potter. Ein Gegensatz zu den deutschen Büchern, die ich "totgelesen" habe, bietet nun die neue englische Auflage von Bloomsbury. Das Cover ist wirklich bezaubernd bei dieser Auflage und erinnert nicht zu sehr an den Film, was ich und viele in meinen Bekanntenkreis bevorzugen. An alle, die bis jetzt nur die deutschen Bücher kennen: die englische Variante ist mindestens genau so gut. Und an alle, die denken, dass sie kein gutes Englisch können: Man darf nicht vergessen, dass Harry Potter ein Kinderbuch ist und dementsprechend simpel geschrieben ist. Es lässt sich einfach lesen und sobald man in der Geschichte drin ist, ist man ja eh verzaubert von Rowlings Welt!

In his third year at Hogwarts Harry Potter is once again confronted with the fast-growing power of the one who should not be named. Already struggling with daily life at the school for witchcraft and wizardry, the announcement of the prisoner who escaped Azkaban puts additional weight on everyone. According to the news, the escapee Sirius Black is very dangerous, no one knows where he is nor what he wants. As it is revealed why he escaped, Harry and his friends find it even more crucial to remain in the safest place, which is Hogwarts. With security measures in place, the students try to follow their rather tricky timetables with all the mysterious things happening around them. Some might be reluctant to read another volume of this extraordinary series, with a young wizard at the same school who is again fighting against Voldemort. But the author manages to implement new elements into the main plot, which transforms the story into an enjoyable read. Who wouldn’t want to spend a day in Hogsmead or Diagon Alley, lingering around in the different shops and buying something magical? This one is in my opinion especially gripping, and mysterious right from the beginning to the final page. Besides while reading you learn more about the different characters, and I grew rather fond of them. I liked to see how these young students developed so far, how they grew together into a capable team although they come from different backgrounds. Also to mention is the interesting plot which goes deeper with every new volume. More adventures are yet to come for the three friends, let’s hop on the Hogwarts Express and join them on the magical journey.

Als Harry Potter Fan eine schöne Ergänzung zur Erstauflage. Außerdem ist es eine günstige Alternative zu den gebundenen Ausgaben. Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf Band 4

Die Illustrationen von Jim Kay werden mit jeder Ausgabe atemberaubender und wirken geradzu lebendig. Zum selbst lesen, wiederholtem Lesen, oder zum Vorlesen (!) eine ideale Ausgabe, die zum Eintauchen einlädt!
