Mitkoordinator des Forschungsschwerpunktes Regeneration, Implantate und Medizintechnik der TU Hamburg-Harburg und Sprecher der Forschungsgruppe Tissue Engineering. Studiengangkoordinator Bioverfahrenstechnik. Etwa 60 referierte Arbeiten sowie über 120 Tagungsbeiträge zu den Themen Zellkulturtechnik, Steuerung von Bioreaktoren, Tissue Engineering.
