To be honest, I didn't like the beginning of the novel very much. Having read so many crime novels, it seemed to be a boring start. BUT the more I progressed in the story, the more intrigued I became. Every time I though that I worked out the crime, I was surprised by another twist. In the end, I very much enjoyed this book and would like to recommend it to others. Horowitz succeeded in continuing the work of Doyle and let me forget that it wasn't him who wrote this story. I admire him for that. Maybe the best Sherlock story I ever read.
