It is 1922 and Kate Schackelton's husband has been missing in action for the last four years. Although considered by many to be dead, Kate is not ready to 'let him go' and has contacted anybody who saw him not long before. Besides doing this she also made an inquiry or two for others. They set out to seek mill owner Joshua Braithwaite, who disappeared in 1916. After being pulled out of a stream, Braithwaite is considered to be suicidal and is taken to a nearby newly opened hospital for soldiers. From here he vanished into thin air! Did Johua Braithwaite commit suicide after he left the hospital or was he murdered. Or perhaps he set off to start a new life elsewhere.
