Portrait

Nico Meissner is Associate Professor and Deputy Director (Research) at Griffith Film School, Deputy Director of the Creative Arts Research Institute, and co-chair of the Australian Screen Production Education & Research Association's Learning & Teaching Sub-Committee. His research examines how screen and media practices create pathways for community impact - across education, civil society, and industry - through internationally networked, partnership-based projects. He was the inaugural Dean of the Faculty of Cinematic Arts in Malaysia, previous Deputy Director (Learning & Teaching) of Griffith Film School. Nico holds a PhD in Cultural Industries from the University of Salford, UK.

Ally Bisshop is Head of Postgraduate Studies at the National Art School, Sydney. Her research operates at the intersection of post-humanities, environmental science, and creative practice, often using nonhuman figures as speculative analytics for examining ecological relations. Previously, Ally taught interdisciplinary art-science courses at Griffith Film School. Ally has a dual background in science and art, with a PhD in Experimental Arts from UNSW Sydney.
