This book explores tarbiyah as the foundational and integrative paradigm of Islamic education, examining how it shapes the purpose, practice and renewal of Islamic schooling. It argues that tarbiyah is more than upbringing, teaching or pedagogy: it is a holistic process of human formation grounded in the Qurʾān, the Prophetic tradition and the Islamic intellectual tradition.
