I Am Here is a love letter from a parent or caregiver to their child. Through a simple story with a profound message, children are encouraged to share their full, authentic selves with the trusted adults in their lives. I Am Here is a reminder that life has both highs and lows and normalizes both the bright spots and the tough times. The story invites children to talk about all of their experiences and how they feel about them. It reminds readers of all ages that human connection helps us feel safe and supported. I Am Here is a warm, inviting, and emotional story that you will want to read again and again with your child. The words are important for adults to say out loud and important for kids to hear. We hope this resilience-promoting tale becomes a bedtime favorite in your home! I will always be here, we're a team, me and you. When emotions are high, there are things we can do. Grown-Ups: Do you want your kids to talk to you (and we mean really talk to you), but feel like you are constantly met with answers like "fine," "nothing," or a shoulder shrug and silence? I Am Here sends a powerful message about the importance of talking about your day and your feelings. The story offers parents and caregivers a framework for inviting these discussions, and lets children know that the trusted adults in their life welcome and embrace their full selves and their diverse experiences - the positives, the hard stuff, the waves of emotion, and everything in between. At Your Village Journey Publishing, we believe in the magic of children's literature to promote wellness and resiliency and to nurture a generation of happier, healthier children. Our Science-backed Stories are infused with psychological principles and come with a Grown-Up Guide to help adults think like the pros and incorporate the power of psychology into their lives.
