JOSHUA HETER is a professor of philosophy at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri. He has (co)edited several collections on popular culture and philosophy, including Country Music and Philosophy: Honky Tonk Meditations, Classic Rock and Philosophy: Dispatches from the Dark Side of the Moon, and Elvis and Philosophy: Essays Concerning the King. He's been going camping for most of his life, and he's been fortunate to do so with numerous beloved friends and family members. And in the summer of 2013, he worked as a wilderness trip leader in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. He currently lives in Missouri.

DAVID O'HARA is a professor of philosophy and director of environmental studies at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He grew up camping in the Catskills and Adirondacks of New York state, and now he regularly camps with his students in the Badlands of South Dakota, the tundra and mountains of Alaska, the rainforests of Central America, and the Sahara. His most recent book, Downstream, is about brook trout, fly-fishing, and ecology. All his favorite classrooms are outdoors. He currently lives in South Dakota.
