Since the beginning of the 21st century, competition and conflict among regional powers in Asia have intensified, especially following changes in the structure of the international system and the alteration of the international order due to several factors. Perhaps the most significant of these is the emergence of Asian powers coinciding with the decline of the United States as the dominant power in the international system. These complex and multifaceted conflicts in Asia necessitate both thought and action to contain them to a minimum and prevent their escalation. In a continent with a high population, possessing major nuclear military powers, and strongly influencing the structure of the global economy and trade, any escalation becomes synonymous with catastrophic wars, the loss of millions of lives, and the destruction of the global economic structure as a whole. This necessitates adopting a methodology and option for conflict management, based on the efforts of the concerned countries to control the level of conflict within certain limits and avoid, as much as possible, pushing it towards war. Asia is home to more than one nuclear power, and it is also the home of most ethnic and political conflicts. In addition, the issue of the balance of power and armament is emerging, and its center is linked to Chinese armament policies and the Japanese move to reformulate the Japanese military doctrine in 2022, not to mention the increased intensity of US-China tension in 2022. All of these factors indicate the increasing danger and sensitivity of conflicts in this continent, and the necessity of working to control them and prevent their escalation.
