>This cover is from another new 1632 author! We are excited about her story of a seriously ill woman who flies to Leahy Hospital in Grantville and sees her daughter. In "A Duty To Home" By Sэтn Reid, Elena basks in the joy of her true calling working at Summer's Kitchen Workshop in Grantville, surrounded by a found family that lives and work together in delightful harmony. Unfortunately, her idyllic lifestyle is interrupted by the arrival of her very ill mother from Guarda in the Three Leagues. Should Elena return home home to help manage family affairs and look after her younger siblings? She faces an impossible choice- leave her happy life in Grantville, or turn her back on her family in distant Guarda?
>"Netanel And Sarah's Story" By Natalie Silk - Driven from their home by high rent and a poor economy, this small family braves the harsh realities of life on the road as they travel in caravans with other migrants in search of a better life. Their destination is Jena in the USE, a safe haven and beacon of hope in a dangerous world, if they can survive the challenges of their arduous journey. "It Was Just A Joke!" By Tim Sayeau - Eleven years old Christopher has been summoned to the principal's office along with his less than pleased parents, ostensibly for starting a food fight. As the boy's tale unfurls we find that the real culprit is a rift between uptime and downtime cultures: a light jest in one is taken for blasphemy in the other! "Out of the Frying Pan, into the Friar" By Todd S. Jones - Friar Thomas Wolf of the Order of Friars Minor is on his way too Freiburg when he finds himself swept up in the terrors of war. Along the way he finds himself thrust into playing the role of hero as he must rescue a woman from mysterious Grantville who has been captured by mercenary scoundrels. Together they risk all in a mad chase across the war torn countryside in a mad bid to reach the safety that lies behind the Ring of Fire.
