Prof. Jun Xu is currently a professor and a Ph.D. supervisor with School of Mechanical Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU). He is the deputy director of Department of Industry-Education Integration and Achievement Transformation, Institute of Science and Technology, XJTU and the Vice Dean of the Robotics Institute of XJTU. He serves as IAAM Fellow, IEEE Senior Member, the Vice Chairman of Shaanxi Power Supply Society, the Chairman of Youth Working Committee of SAE-Shaanxi and consistently ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists. He serves as Associate Editor for Digital Twin and Chair/Co-Chair of several Academic Conferences. He has directed over 40 projects, including the National Key R&D Program and NSFC grants. Authored over 140 papers (7 ESI Highly Cited) and holds 30+ authorized invention patents. Received 5 scientific research awards, including the Provincial Natural Science Second Prize. He has been featured by mainstream media including CCTV. His primary research interests include robotics and electric vehicles.

Zheng Chen (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in control science engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China, in 2004, 2007, and 2012, respectively. He was a post-doctoral fellow and a research scholar with the University of Michigan, Dearborn, MI, USA, from 2008 to 2014, and a Marie-Curie Research Fellow with Queen Mary University of London, London, U.K., from 2019 to 2021. He is currently a professor with the Faculty of Transportation Engineering, Kunming University of Science and Technology, Kunming, China. He has conducted over 50 projects and has published over 300 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings. His research interests include optimal control of connected and autonomous vehicles and intelligent management of lithium-ion batteries.
