Thrill to Kill Crime Fiction in South Asia

Shweta Sachdeva Jha is an Associate Professor at the Department of English, Miranda House, University of Delhi. Her research areas are tawa'if cultures, genre fiction and digital archives. Her most recent publications include essays in Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, South Asian Popular Culture and a chapter in Anna Morcom and Neelam Raina eds. Creative Economies of Culture in South Asia: Craftspeople and Performers (2025).

Garima Yadav is an Associate Professor of English in the Department of English at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi. A Jawaharlal Nehru University alumna, she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Roorkee. Her research interests are crime fiction, Indian Literature in English, and popular culture. Her work has been published in Springer, Worldview, and Indira Gandhi National Open University Press.
