Portrait

Dr. G Rajesh is a professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras). His works are in the area of high-speed flows, shockwave dynamics, and ballistics, and he specifically focuses on shock and blast reflections, interior and intermediate ballistics, blast-induced trauma, and unsteady supersonic flows. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Andong National University, South Korea, in 2008. He worked as a scientist in the Indian Space Research Organisation and in various academic institutions such as Govt. Engineering Colleges in Kerala in the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, and at Keimyung University in South Korea in the Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, in various capacities as a lecturer and an assistant professor, before joining IIT Madras as an associate professor in 2013.

Dr.R. Sriram is an assistant professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His research areas are high-speed flows, boundary layer separation and unsteadiness, shock wave-boundary layer interaction, and flow control. He received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, in 2014. Before joining IIT Madras he worked as a post-doctoral fellow in the Mechanical Engineering Department at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia (2015–2016), and as the Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow at the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow, UK (2016–17).
