Xinping Guan is with the Department of Automation, Key Laboratory of System Control and Information Processing, Ministry of Education of China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China.

Xinping Guan received the B.S. degree in mathematics from Harbin Normal University, Harbin, China, in 1986, and the Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 1999. He is currently a Chair Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, where he is the Dean of the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, and the Director of the Key Laboratory of System Control and Information Processing, Ministry of Education of China. He has authored or coauthored four research monographs and more than 270 papers in IEEE Transactions and other peer-reviewed journals, and numerous conference papers. As a Principal Investigator, he has completed or been working on many national key projects. He is the Leader of the prestigious Innovative Research Team of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His current research interests include industrial cyber-physical systems, wireless networking and applications in smart cities and smart factories, and underwater sensor networks.

Dr. Guan was the recipient of the Second Prize of National Natural Science Award of China in 2008, the First Prize of Natural Science Award from the Ministry of Education of China in 2006 and 2016, the First Prize of the Technological Invention Award of Shanghai Municipal, China, in 2017, the IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems Outstanding Paper Award in 2008, the National Outstanding Youth honored by the NSF of China, the Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education of China, and the State-Level Scholar of the New Century Bai Qianwan Talent Program of China. He is an Executive Committee Member of the Chinese Automation Association Council and the Chinese Artificial Intelligence Association Council.

Zhang Ren is with the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, Beihang University, Beijing 100191, China. Zhang Ren is currently a Professor with the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, Beihang University, Beijing, China. His research interests include distributed control, optimization, and games for multi-agent systems, unmanned aerial vehicle navigation guidance and control systems.

Xiaorong Shi is with the Beijing Institute of Control and Electronic Technology, Beijing 100191, China. Researcher Xiaorong Shi, Deputy Director of the Beijing Institute of Control and Electronic Technology, has long been engaged in research on navigation, guidance and control systems, as well as artificial intelligence technologies. Dr. Shi has been honored with one National Science and Technology Progress Award, two First Prizes of the Provincial/Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Award, and the 19th Female Scientist Team Award.
