Portrait

Dr. Bimlesh Kumar is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. He holds a Ph.D. (2009) and M.E. (2003) in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology, Muzaffarpur (1999). His research expertise lies in the fields of sediment transport, river hydraulics, turbulent flows, mixing processes, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and pump-pipeline surge analysis. His work integrates theoretical advancements with practical applications in hydraulic engineering, offering valuable insights into the design, modelling, and management of complex water systems. He is a highly prolific researcher, having authored over 260 peer-reviewed journal articles and contributed to 23 books and book chapters. His scholarly contributions are widely recognized within the academic and professional communities. In recognition of his outstanding work in hydraulics and water resources.

Dr. Manish Pandey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. He obtained his Ph.D. (2015) and M.Tech. (2010) in Water Resources Engineering and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He earned his B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar. His research expertise spans the domains of experimental hydraulics, sediment transport, river training works, hydraulic structures, and flow through open channels. His work integrates theoretical, experimental, and applied dimensions of hydraulic engineering, with a particular focus on the physical modeling of flow and sediment dynamics in riverine environments.

Dr. Anurag Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, India. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, and a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from NIT Silchar. His primary research interests include turbulence, sediment transport, fluid mechanics, open channel flow, and eco-fluvial hydraulics. His work focuses on advancing the scientific understanding of flow-sediment interactions and the application of hydrodynamic principles to address environmental and ecological challenges in riverine systems.

Dr. Minakshee Mahananda is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, India. She earned her Ph.D. in Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. She holds an M.Tech (Research) in Hydraulic Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla. Her research interests encompass a broad range of topics within hydraulic and water resources engineering. Her expertise includes turbulence in open channel flows, fluvial hydrodynamics, experimental hydraulics, applied hydrodynamics, river basin management, and urban drainage systems. Her work focuses on understanding the complex behaviour of water flow in natural and engineered systems, with an emphasis on applying hydrodynamic principles to solve real-world problems related to river management and urban water infrastructure.
