Add in the presence of Wilhelmina, a female wasp so devoted to her colony that she will do anything to protect it, and the scene is set for confusion and mayhem. Wilhelm's resolve is severely tested, often with dramatic and unforeseen consequences, whilst Wilhelmina becomes embroiled in several perilous action-packed confrontations. All Tom wants is a nice holiday.
Set in the small Devon seaside town of Budleigh Salterton, the story is written from the perspectives of the main wasp characters and of poor Tom, a human simply trying to enjoy his holiday.
