Communication for Community Development in Africa's Extractive Sector Engagement, Participation, and Impact

Kizito Ogedi Alakwe is a development communication specialist and a scholar in the School of Media and Communication at the Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos-Nigeria. His scholarly work critically examines the intersections of communication, governance, participation, and social change, especially within resource-rich and marginalised African communities. Beyond academia, he has extensive consulting experience across the telecommunications, media, maritime, and development sectors, with particular expertise in stakeholder engagement, participatory communication, and community-centered development initiatives.

Silk Ugwu Ogbu is a scholar in the Lagos Business School at the Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos-Nigeria. His research interests span strategic communication, corporate communication, organisational behaviour, leadership, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement. His scholarly work examines the intersections of business, communication, governance, and sustainable development, with particular emphasis on ethical leadership, corporate accountability, and the role of communication in fostering organisational and societal transformation.
