Portrait

Yatindra Nath Singh is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. He obtained his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from REC Hamirpur (now NIT Hamirpur) and his M.Tech in Optoelectronics and Optical Communications from IIT Delhi. He earned his Ph.D. from IIT Delhi in 1997 for his work on the optical amplifier placement problem in all-optical broadcast networks. Prof. Singh is a Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), a Fellow and Board of Governors member of ICEIT, a Senior Member of IEEE, and a member of the Internet Society (ISOC). His research interests include telecommunications networks, particularly peer-to-peer networks, optical networks, switching systems, mobile communications, and distributed software system design. He has supervised 30 Ph.D. theses and 178 M.Tech/MSR dissertations. He founded the technology cooperative startup YRRNA in 2023 with his doctoral students, focusing on research-driven monetization. He holds ten patents and has authored numerous journal and conference publications. He has also developed open-access lecture notes on Digital Switching and has been actively involved in open-source software development. Currently, his research focuses on secure, private, encrypted peer-to-peer systems, including Brihaspati-4, a serverless platform integrating LMS, telephony, messaging, live streaming, search engine capabilities, cloud storage, and collaborative computing.

Ravi Paul Gollapalli is a tenured Full Professor in the Department of Engineering and Industrial Professions at the University of North Alabama, Florence, USA. With over 15 years of experience in engineering education, research, and scholarly publishing, he brings extensive expertise in peer-reviewed research, conference engagement, and academic service. His background in electrical engineering, complemented by optics, underpins his research in nanophotonics, biosensors, femtosecond frequency reference dissemination, digital signal processing, and pattern recognition. He earned his Ph.D. in Optical Science and Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Dr. Gollapalli’s research has been supported by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) and the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). He has authored and presented numerous peer-reviewed conference papers and serves as a reviewer for major funding agencies and professional organizations, including NSF, the National Science Centre (Poland), Optica, and NCUR. A Senior Member of IEEE, he has held several leadership roles at IEEE SoutheastCon 2026, including Registration Chair, Tutorial and Workshop Chair, and Session Chair. He also serves as Co-Director of the Quality Enhancement Plan and as the ABET (ETAC) and BS in Engineering Technology Program Coordinator at the University of North Alabama.

Sohanpal Singh is Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology. He served for 18 years in the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) of the Indian Army, where he made significant contributions to the indigenization of the Schilka radar system and implemented critical modifications in radar SFM systems to reduce error rates. Following his military career, he transitioned to academia and earned his Ph.D. from Osmania University in 2007. He has since supervised several research scholars and contributed extensively to engineering education and research. Dr. Singh has published more than 135 research papers in reputed journals and conference proceedings. He is a co-author of two book chapters, holds one patent, and has completed several funded research projects supported by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
