Surgical orthodontics is a specialized field focused on correcting complex dentofacial deformities that cannot be managed with conventional orthodontic treatment alone, especially in adults with completed skeletal growth. Temporary anchorage devices (TADs) have further enhanced presurgical orthodontic outcomes.
