    Buch (Taschenbuch)

You will have a good life with this book

Caroline Webb claims on page 3 that we have more room to maneuver in our daily lives than we generally realize when we recognize how our thought patterns can affect everything from our perception of reality to the moods of those around us, which will result in bringing the best our of ourselves and others. By blending scientific evidence from psychology, behavioral economics and neuroscience, practical techniques, recommendations, tips & tricks as well as real examples from people who’ve used those techniques in their own lives she shows us how to improve our daily lives and become happier and more successful. She focuses on three well-explored big scientific facts―the two-system brain, the discover-defend axis and the mind-body loop―and covers a wide range of topics such as priorities, productivity, relationships, thinking, influence, resilience, and energy. Throughout the book you will find the real-life stories of 42 (!) personas that enrich the various topics in a lively and realistic way―this is business storytelling at its best! It’s not only a book that helps understand the mechanisms of our daily lives better (including all the biases that rule over our behavior), but also encourages us to practice its down-to-earth recommendations. And they are worth being considered seriously since Caroline Webb analyzed more than 600 books and put more than four years and her whole professional experience as a consultant in this book. Excellent, exciting and very entertaining indeed!
