History is written by the victorsbut it's being rewritten by three kids in sneakers and a time-traveling taco truck.
Jax, Zoe, and Leo aren't your typical heroes. They aren't looking to save the world or slay dragons; they're just trying to survive the Roman Empire without running out of hand sanitizer. When a "flavor mission" goes sideways, these three find themselves dropped into the middle of an ancient Roman marketplace that smells less like "majestic history" and more like vinegar, wet dogs, and unwashed feet.
The Squad
- Jax: The neurotic voice of reason who is currently having a localized meltdown. He's the only one who realizes that neon orange t-shirts and high-top sneakers are basically a neon sign for "Arrest me, I'm from the future."
- Zoe: The strategist. Armed with a massive encyclopedia and a glitching smartwatch, she's trying to sync the laws of physics while making sure her friends don't end up in a "brutal dungeon" before lunch.
- Leo: The chef with a one-track mind. He's unimpressed by centurions and stone architecture. If there's a legendary spice to be found, he's going to find it, even if he has to walk through a legion of soldiers to get to the kitchen.
The Mystery
The Roman Empire was supposed to be a place of togas and marble, but something is dangerously "off." When the group spots a Roman soldier scanning the crowd through a pair of mirrored aviator sunglasses, the mission shifts from a simple scavenger hunt to a race against time. Who else has been here? Why is the timeline bleeding modern tech into the ancient streets? And most importantly, how do you blend in when the locals are speaking Latin but you're still smelling like an abandoned parking lot?
This is a fast-paced, visceral adventure that trades dry history lessons for sheer anarchy. It's a story about the "completely visceral experience" of the pastthe noise, the smells, and the "caustic odor" of a world that doesn't want you there.
Whether it's the "tiny blue volt" of a malfunctioning time stream or the "intense vehemence" of a Roman merchant, every page is packed with sensory detail and sharp wit. It's a "drastic situation" that proves that even if you have a magic taco truck, the past is never as simple as the history books claim.
